HELMET REVIEW: MASEI IRON MAN HELMET
I bought this Masei ironman helmet off ebay few weeks ago. It just arrived and I would like to share my thoughts about it.
First of all, to satisfy the safety enthusiast inside all of you, the helmet is DOT certified. This means it satisfies safety requirements to be used as a motorcycle helmet.
The helmet is actually half face with the ironman face applied to it. The part of the helmet covering the face is made of just plastic. Therefore, if you crash with your face hitting the ground first, the helmet might not be able to give adequate protection to your face.
Visibility is fairly good. Of course it does not give the same wide angle of vision as our regular motorcycle helmet. Vision around the corner of the eyes in reduced. However, it has better vision than some helmets I have worn especially the predator helmet.
The interior of the helmet is padded with a soft comfortable foam to increase comfort. There is some wind noise while riding with it. I do not recommend using it on long rides.
The helmet is reasonably priced between $90 and $150.
Why did I buy the helmet? Because my Yamaha R6 is gold and black and the helmet is simply bada*s!
