2016 CALABAR CARNIVAL

The 2016 Calabar Carnival was everything you could dream of. The fun was intense!


Although the events spanned over 10 days, I was more interested in attending the main carnival parade on December 28th and of course the Bikers Carnival on December 27th.

I attended the 2015 carnival which was awesome, but I must say, this year was even better. The bikers carnival was very interesting. Like last year, the governor Prof Ben Ayade attended. We rode with him around town before finally settling at a viewing spot on Marian road for stunts and performances. The entire event lasted for five hours.

Some of the major highlights of the event were ex-governor Donald Duke's batmobile themed bike, stunts by bikers and of course the predator helmets my brother and I wore. We had a lot of pictures scrambling to take pictures with us.

The carnival parade on 28th featured many colorful and creative bands.
